Tibetan Singing Bowls with Certified Sound Therapist Deb Yoder
  • 10:30am CST - 11:30am CST November 9th, 2019
  • Tibetan singing bowls are a holistic healing practice. The bowls produce sounds which promote stress reduction and relaxation on physical, mental, and emotional levels. Come experience the amazing phenomenon of the bowls and see for yourself! Singing bowls “spoke” to certified sound therapist Deb Yoder in 2013 at a Women in Spirituality conference in Mankato, MN. After a workshop with Frank DiCristina of Minneapolis, Deb trained to play the Tibetan bowls as sound meditations and to place them on the body for sound massage. In the past five years she has worked with cancer and surgery patients, in senior communities, with high school yoga classes, college classes, Sanford medical students and presented for OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute). Deb continues her training with Jeff Howard of Silver Sky Imports in Lincoln NE and Dr. Mitch Nur of 9ways Academia. She has her own business, Tibetan Temple Sounds, based in Sioux Falls, SD, where she does singing bowl meditations, massages and teaches yoga. Deb believes her “sankalpa” or purpose in life is to help others heal themselves and uses the singing bowls to bring peace and relaxation of body, mind, and spirit to those around her.
